Poulton-le-Fylde Golf Club is delighted to host our annual Captain’s Drive-In & Charity Race Night on Friday 3rd April from 5:00pm. This much-anticipated event marks the official start of the 2026/27 golf season and offers members, families and guests the perfect opportunity to come together and celebrate.
The Captain’s Drive-In is a proud tradition in the golfing calendar. It is the moment when our newly appointed captains take their ceremonial first drive of the season, with the added challenge of seeing who can successfully make it over the famous dyke. It is always a fantastic spectacle and a brilliant way to launch the new season at our Fylde Coast golf club.

Each captain represents an important section of Poulton-le-Fylde Golf Club and plays a key role in supporting members, competitions and community fundraising throughout the year.
Charity Race Night & Fundraising
New for 2026/27, we are introducing a Charity Race Night alongside the Drive-In. The evening will include horse racing, dog racing and opportunities to win prizes, all while raising money for the captain’s chosen charity, Blue Skies Special Care Baby Unit.
As one of the most active golf clubs in Lancashire for community fundraising, we are incredibly proud to have raised over £265,000 for local charities in the past seven years.
With live music from Ant Oliver and food available from KeeKee’s Pizzas, this promises to be a fantastic evening. Everyone is welcome, members, family and friends alike.
